Hafize Zehra Kavak
She completed her bachelor's degree at Boğaziçi University Department of History and her master's degree at Fatih University Department of International Relations with a thesis titled “Israel's and Israelis' Perception of Settlements and the Peace Process”. She successfully defended her doctoral thesis titled “Humanitarian Diplomacy Activities of Turkish Civil Society Organizations” at the Institute for Middle East and Islamic Countries Studies at Marmara University in 2024 and received her doctorate. She participated in the “Humanitarian Diplomacy” training organized in collaboration with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the Diplo Foundation. Kavak served as the Research and Publications Unit Coordinator at the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation between 2006 and 2015, contributing to various publications in the field of humanitarian aid in terms of research, copyright, editing and translation. She has worked on various humanitarian aid projects in Ethiopia, Palestine, Lebanon, Macedonia, and Türkiye. She currently serves as Humanitarian Policy and Advocacy Specialist in the International Policies and Cooperation Directorate.
