Hafize Zehra Kavak
She completed her undergraduate studies in the Department of History at Boğaziçi University and earned her master’s degree in International Relations from Fatih University with a thesis entitled Israel’s and Israelis’ Perception of Settlements and the Peace Process. She received her PhD in 2024 from the Institute of Middle Eastern and Islamic Countries Studies at Marmara University by successfully defending her dissertation titled Humanitarian Diplomacy Activities of Turkish Non-Governmental Organizations.
Between 2006 and 2015, Kavak served as Coordinator of the Research and Publications Unit at the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, contributing to numerous publications in the humanitarian field through research, authorship, editing, and translation, and taking part in national and international events as both an organizer and a participant. She has been involved in various humanitarian projects in Ethiopia, Belgium, Italy, Palestine, Lebanon, North Macedonia, and Türkiye. She currently works as a Publications Specialist within the Türk Kızılay Academy Directorate.
