Meryem Esra Varol
She earned her bachelor's degree in 2019 from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Bilkent University. She completed her master’s degree in the Peace and Conflict Studies program at Ankara Social Sciences University with a thesis titled *“Truth and Reconciliation Commissions – Post-Conflict Peace Building in the Context of Transitional Justice Mechanisms.”*
She participated in the “Muslim Societies: Contemporary and Future Challenges” summer school program organized by the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT). She also completed internships at the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), contributing to various institutional projects and gaining experience during this period.
Alongside her involvement in various projects related to humanitarian work, she also takes part in research, publication preparation, and translation processes within the scope of publishing activities in the field. Since August 2020, she has been working as a Research Specialist within the Türk Kızılay Academy Directorate.
