Humanitarian Support during WWI: Activities of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies offers a powerful tribute to the humanitarian spirit that endured amid the horrors of the First World War. Drawing on the remarkable efforts of National Societies from Austria, Australia, Germany, Japan, Portugal, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, and beyond, the book reveals how compassion transcended borders even in humanity’s darkest hour and brings to life the tireless work of Red Cross Red Crescent volunteers, caring for the wounded, reuniting families, and upholding dignity amidst devastation. A vital reminder of our shared humanity, even in times of unimaginable sufferings.
